Lower School Frequently Asked Questions
Definitions helpful for interpreting the Sample Schedules and the September Phase-In Schedule
- Asynchronous: Various forms of online learning such as pre-recorded videos.
- Synchronous: Live Zoom meetings
- Intake Meetings: Time for faculty and staff to meet students and families; Some will be virtual to start so children and faculty are able to meet each other without their masks.
- Small Group Sessions: For Early-Childhood groups, students will gradually come back to school in small groups before they come back to campus as a full-group.
- Zoom: an online platform that students will use in the on-campus program during the first few weeks, and in the online program. It will allow for small group instruction and for the class to come together for whole group meetings.

- Zoom: Grades Preschool 3 – 5
- See Saw: Grades 1 – 3
- Google Classroom: Grades 4 & 5
